A Historic Step Toward Women-Led Safe Mobility Across India

We are delighted to announce a proud and transformative moment for the Chamber of Business and Entrepreneur (India) Council (CBEIC) and its flagship women empowerment initiative Mahila Saarthi.

CBEIC has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited, the parent cooperative behind Bharat Taxi, marking the beginning of a powerful collaboration aimed at reshaping the future of women-led mobility in India.

🚘 A Partnership with Purpose

This MoU establishes a long-term strategic partnership where:

CBEIC (Mahila Saarthi) will:

  • Mobilize and train women across Delhi NCR and multiple states
  • Conduct onboarding, safety training, self-defense, and digital readiness classes
  • Facilitate vehicle procurement through government & CSR support
  • Operate dedicated helplines, monitoring systems, and facilitation centers

Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited (Bharat Taxi) will:

🔹 Sustainable & Clean Mobility

Supporting India’s EV mission through women-led operations.

🔹 Cooperative Development

Encouraging women to participate in the cooperative economy and digital mobility sector.

🎉 A Vision for Nationwide Impact

Mahila Saarthi Partners with Bharat Taxi for Women Driver Onboarding and Interaction at NCDC

The Mahila Saarthi Initiative, under the Chamber of Business and Entrepreneur (India) Council (CBEIC), continues its mission to empower women through sustainable and safe mobility.

Today, an important training and interaction session was successfully conducted by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited at the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) headquarters. The session was led by the Bharat Taxi Team, focusing on the onboarding of 50 female drivers who will soon join the Bharat Taxi platform as Mahila Saarthi Partners.

This event marks a new milestone in strengthening the CBEIC–Bharat Taxi partnership, dedicated to promoting women’s participation in India’s growing electric and cooperative mobility ecosystem.

👩‍🏫 Training and Discussion Highlights

During the session, the Bharat Taxi team conducted practical demonstrations and interactive discussions on:

  • App registration and onboarding process,
  • Vehicle operations for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers,
  • Safety features including GPS tracking, emergency alert systems, and driver helpline,
  • Customer engagement and service ethics for women drivers.

Participants shared their real-world experiences, expectations, and challenges faced during driving and onboarding. These insights will help design better facilitation and support frameworks for future Mahila Saarthi partners.
