The Chamber of Business and Entrepreneur (India) Council (CBEIC) continues to strengthen its commitment towards building an inclusive, sustainable and employment-oriented mobility ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.
In a significant and encouraging interaction, Mr. Saurabh Mitra, Director, CBEIC, met Hon’ble Minister of Transport, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Daya Shankar Singh, to present and discuss CBEIC’s flagship initiatives — Mahila Saarthi and Yuva Saarthi.
The meeting provided an important platform to discuss how innovative mobility models can contribute to women’s empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, skill development, EV adoption and last-mile connectivity across the state.
Mahila Saarthi: Creating Opportunities for Women
Mahila Saarthi is envisioned as a women-centric mobility ecosystem designed to create meaningful opportunities for women in the transportation sector.
The initiative focuses on:
- Women driver training and skill development
- Safe and reliable mobility services
- Employment and entrepreneurship opportunities
- Digital and technology enablement
- Passenger assistance and last-mile connectivity
- Opportunities in electric mobility
- Self-reliance and economic empowerment
Through structured training and operational support, Mahila Saarthi seeks to enable women to become not only mobility service providers but also entrepreneurs and active participants in the evolving transportation ecosystem.
Yuva Saarthi: Empowering Rural Youth Through EV Mobility
The second flagship initiative, Yuva Saarthi, focuses on connecting rural youth with the emerging electric mobility economy.
The proposed model combines EV mobility, charging infrastructure, digital services and entrepreneurship opportunities at the grassroots level.
Yuva Saarthi aims to create opportunities around:
- EV charging and mobility services
- Rural entrepreneurship
- Digital and financial services
- Skill development
- Employment generation
- Last-mile transportation
- Gram Panchayat-level mobility infrastructure
The initiative envisions a network of local mobility and service centres that can support both economic activity and sustainable transportation in rural areas.

The interaction with the Hon’ble Transport Minister highlighted the importance of developing mobility solutions that are safe, accessible, technology-enabled and economically sustainable.
